Satoshi Kondo, MD

Satoshi Kondo is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in Sapporo, Japan.

Prof. Kondo graduated from Nagoya University School of Medicine in 1978 and received his PhD from Nagoya University in 1995.

Prof. Kondo completed his surgical residency in 1984 at Ogaki Municipal Hospital in Gifu, Japan. From 1984-1998 he was a surgeon at the 1st Department of Surgery at Nagoya University Hospital. In 1989, he became Assistant Professor and in 1996, Associate Professor, in the 1st Department of Surgery at the Nagoya University School of Medicine.From 1996 to 1998 Professor Kondo was Chief Surgeon in the Department of Surgery at Kasugai Municipal Hospital in Aichi, Japan. Since1998, Professor Kondo has been with the Department of Surgical Oncology at Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, first as an Associate Professor and since 2004, in his present position as Professor and Chairman.
