HPB’s Impact factor rises again - 3.290

It is with great pleasure that I am able to confirm that the impact factor for HPB has increased from 2.918 to 3.290. HPB is now well established as the premier journal that covers our specialist field of hepatic, biliary, pancreatic and transplantation surgery. It has risen in the 2016 surgical journal rankings from 46th to 36th, somersaulting above many longer established surgical journals. It has been a real pleasure and honour for me to facilitate the rise of our Journal over the last nine years as Editor-in-Chief. However, I have received excellent support from the Editorial Team which has worked hard to ensure that the journal delivers quality and educationally relevant content. This would not have been possible without the assistance of the Editorial Board and those reviewers who have given their time in ensuring that the content of the journal is appropriate for the needs of our readership. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the confidence of those researchers and authors who have continued to send their best manuscripts to HPB. We are grateful for their continuing support of the Journal.
