Brief History of the Chapter

L'ACHBT est une Société Savante, créée en 1987, qui a pris une place essentielle aujourd'hui, de par l'essor de la chirurgie hépato biliaire et pancréatique, incluant bien sûr, la transplantation. L’association ACHBT compte aujourd’hui plus de 230 membres.

Elle a pour but de developer les aspects Scientiques et de Recherche de la chirurgie HPB, d’organiser un congres annuel en collaboration avec la Société Francaise de Chirurgie Digestive (SFCD), de même qu’une journée scientifique mono-thématique de Printemps. Elle assure l’encadrement des jeunes chirurgiens dans les projets de Recherche et les aide par l’intermédiaire de Bourses dans l’acquisition de nouvelles connaissances au sein d’autres structures de Chirurgie HPB.

ENGLISH
The ACHBT is a Scientific Society, created in 1987, which has taken an essential place today, due to the rise of hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery, including of course transplantation. ACHBT association has now more than 230 members.

It aims to develop the Scientific and Research aspects of HPB surgery, to organize an annual congress in collaboration with the French Society of Digestive Surgery (SFCD), as well as a mono-thematic scientific single-day in Spring. The Society ensures the support of young surgeons in Research projects and helps them through grants in the acquisition of new knowledge within other structures of HPB Surgery.
