HPBridge ACCORD: A new free-of-charge quality improvement tool for all

Be part of a global effort to improve HPB surgery through data, collaboration, and quality improvement.

The HPBridge ACCORD (Abdominal Resections Collaborative Outcomes and Research Database) is a free, not-for-profit international registry developed specifically to support HPB teams, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries. Endorsed by the IHPBA, ACCORD provides participating centres with a simple, practical way to collect high-quality surgical outcomes data, benchmark their results, and contribute to collaborative research.

Unlike traditional research registries, ACCORD is designed for everyday clinical practice. The registry focuses on a core set of HPB procedures and 90-day postoperative outcomes, minimizing the burden of data collection while providing meaningful insights for clinical audit and quality improvement. Participating centres retain ownership of their patient-identifiable data and have real-time access to their own datasets, while contributing de-identified data to regional and global benchmarking reports.

By joining ACCORD, your centre will become part of an international network committed to improving HPB care through shared learning, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. As the registry grows, participating centres will also help build one of the first global datasets focused specifically on HPB surgery in LMIC settings.
