Additional Comments | Leicester is a busy tertiary HPB referral centre with an average of 90-100 inpatients. The fellow will be expected to fully partake in the daily running of the wards, managing critically unwell HPB and surgical patients and be involved in outpatient clinics as well as gaining a wide range of experience in complex open and laparoscopic liver and pancreas surgery. The unit also performs over 1000 ERCPs per year and the fellow will have an opportunity to be fully trained in ERCP, should they wish to do so. The fellow will participate in the surgical rota at registrar level and will be expected to be manage common general surgical emergencies. |
