International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association
Season's Greetings from IHPBA
2019 has been another very successful and productive year for IHPBA. We have thoroughly enjoyed three excellent Regional Association congresses in Miami, Amsterdam and Seoul and we are looking forward to connecting with our colleagues and friends again at our 14th World Congress in Melbourne, in September 2020.
Our Association had record member numbers this year, and we hope to see continued expansion of our global reach in the lead up to the 2020 World Congress.
The IHPBA Foundation’s activities in the areas of Education, Research, Outreach and the Kenneth Warren Fellowship continue to expand, and if you have not already done so, I would urge you to consider making a donation before the end of the year.
I would like to thank both our members and our hardworking committees for their input into the Association. We will shortly be launching the 2020 self-nomination process, so if you have the skills and enthusiasm to contribute to one of our committees, or to the Early Career Surgeons Group which will launch in Melbourne, please submit your application to be considered for a position. We welcome and encourage HPB surgeons from all demographic and geographic groups to engage with the Association to secure representation and a voice in the future direction of IHPBA.
I would like to wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season and a very happy and peaceful new year.
