The 2021 IHPBA Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to Professor Thomas van Gulik. 

Professor van Gulik has made an exceptional worldwide contribution to HPB surgery throughout his dedicated career, and IHPBA is delighted to award him the 2021 IHPBA Distinguished Service Medal.

The medal will be presented at the 15th IHPBA World Congress in New York, 30 March - 2 April 2022.
