Kenneth Warren Fellows 2026-2027
IHPBA and the IHPBA Foundation are delighted to announce the 2026-2027 Kenneth Warren Fellowship recipients: Dr. Angela Daniela Basurco Valer from Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen – EsSalud, Lima, Peru and Dr. Chao Wang from Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University
of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China.
Dr. Angela Daniela Basurco Valer will undertake her research project 'The Latin American Failure-to-Rescue Collaborative: Understanding and Improving Postoperative Rescue after Pancreatoduodenectomy' at the University of Calgary, Canada under the mentorship of Dr Elijah Dixon.
Dr. Chao Wang will undertake her research project 'Ferroptosis-Mediated Liver Graft Injury During Machine Perfusion: Identifying Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets to Prevent Early Allograft Dysfunction' at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, under the mentorship of Professor Christoph Michalski.
