HPB Impact Factor Rises Again

I am sure that the membership of the IHPBA and its regional associations will be pleased to hear that HPB has broken an important barrier in achieving an impact factor of 2.05 in the latest announcement from Thomson Reuters. This was the target that the editorial team set itself 5 years ago and it is pleasing to see a continuing steady rise since our first award of an impact factor 3 years ago.

Of course, this would not have been possible without the outstanding support that the Journal has enjoyed from those submitting manuscripts, from colleagues who have supported the review process and from the entire Editorial Board. I would also like to particularly acknowledge the support that the AHPBA has given over this period in linking compulsory submission of manuscripts to presentations at its meeting. The Editorial Team will not be complacent with this accomplishment and fully intend to drive further the quality of the Journal’s content. We hope that the membership can reflect in the Journal’s success and can give it continued strong support.
